EKOPOLIS FEST BEGINS TONIGHT

International review of environmental and archaeological film "EKOpolis fest", which for the past eleven years was organized by media ecological network of Serbian-EKOpolis, is starting tonight, Wednesday 4th of June 2014 at 19:00 pm in the Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis. This event is unique in culture, traditionally organized in the week marking the city's celebration of "Sv.Car Konstantin i Carica Jelena," and the World Environment Day, under the auspices of Palilula municipality-City of Nis. The program of the Festival is designed with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute, Goethe Institute, Embassy of the Polish Ministry of Culture, the global environmental campaign "Clean up the World", the National Museum in Belgrade. Dragan Vidojković, artistic director of the Festival, has announced that 11th EKOPOLIS fest in Nis and Aleksinc, of 8 June 4th is going to present 23 films from 7 countries.

Film fans will see two documentaries of works of Kurdistan, which were chosen by a member of the selection committee Mr. Rizgar Rencero. The film festival, according to the president of the Council, Prof. Dr. Vlado Radovic is characterized by high scientific quality and attractive approach to cultural heritage and sustainable development. On the program are mainly short form of documentary films and reportage. In those films important discoveries are presented, and remarkable achievements of the past from different periods of civilization. The audience will be familiar with the latest archaeological research and environmental campaigns and activities in our country and in the world. The organization of the Festival are the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis, Serbian Scholar Society, Institute EKOMAN, multimedia artists association "Car Konstantin" ED Southeast, PUC Naisus Nis, municipal organization for tourism and sport-OTIS Aleksinac.
